against the Hoxie Lady Mustangs and the Doniphan Lady Donettes. Hoxie's Lady Mustangs won the
first matches with scores of 25 to 11, 25 to 13 and 25 to 14. Walnut Ridge Lady Bobcats defeated the
Doniphan Lady Donettes with a score of 25 to 17 and 25 to 20.

Hoxie Jr Lady Mustangs played the Cedar Ridge Jr Lady Timberwolves best out of three with scores
of 25 - 11 and 26 - 6 giving the Hoxie Jr Lady Mustangs the win. The Hoxie Sr Lady Mustangs versus
the Cedar Ridge Sr Lady Timberwolves in a three out of five match with scores of 22 - 4, 25 - 5 and
25 - 2 in a clean sweep for the Hoxie Sr Lady Mustangs.

Brookland's Lady Bearcats traveled to Walnut Ridge Thursday afternoon to face the Walnut Ridge
Lady Bobcats in volleyball. The 7th grade girl's games were won in a clean sweep by the Lady Bobcats
in two games with scores of 23 to 10 and 19 to 17. The Girl's Junior B team also had a clean sweep with
the Lady Bobcats winning both games with a score of 22 to 13 and 19 to 17. The Girl's Junior A team
match was won by the Lady Bearcats with scores of 25 to 21 and 25 to 17. The Girl's Senior games
were scheduled at the same time that the Junior Bobcats had a football game scheduled.

September 22, 2006, in what promised to be a white knuckle football game. Both teams held their own
during the first quarter of the game with the Bulldogs being able to make the first touchdown of the game.
At half time all the attendees of the game were asked to take shelter in the School's Safe Room to ride out
what was forecast as a tornado being less than eight miles away from the field with the Hoxie School being in
the storm's direct path. After close to half a hour and a lessening threat of sever weather, the players took to
the field, the attendees took to the bleachers and the game continued. The Mustangs were on the Bulldog's
heals throughout the game but succumbed to the Bulldogs score of 28 to 20. It wasn't five minutes after
the game's end that the weather forecast proved some what correct with a heavy rain and lighting,
but the forecasted damaging high winds.

games of entertainment, November 20, 2006. Hoxie's 7th Grade Mustangs defeated the Bobcats with a score of
38 to 23 to start the evening. The Mustangs Junior team fell to the Bobcats with a score of 21 to 30. The Senior
Mustangs took the lead early in the game and ended with a score of 67 to 40 over the Bobcats.

The Junior Lady Bobcats lagged behind the Junior Lady Mustangs with a ending score of 17 to 36 in favor of the
Lady Mustangs. The Senior Lady Bobcats took the lead in the second quarter and were able to hold it over the
Lady Mustangs, ending up with a score of 47 to 36 in favor of the Lady Bobcats. The Senior Boys Bobcats
kept the score some what even against the Mustangs well into the fourth quarter when the Mustangs took over
the lead. The finial score was 47 to 51 in favor of the Mustangs.

Walnut Ridge Bobcats hosted a match against the Hoxie Mustangs Senior A and B teams at Sherum Gymnasium
Tuesday evening, February 6, 2007. The Senior B Bobcats were defeated by the Mustangs with a score of 20 to 30
in favor of the Mustangs. The Bobcats held their Senior Night in appreciation of the Seniors that have participated in
sports and other activities during the school year. The Senior A team games resulted in the Bobcats defeating the
Mustangs with a score of 56 to 47 in favor of the Bobcats.

Hoxie's Robert Hicks Gymnasium Saturday morning, February 10, 2007 housed the PeeWee 5th and 6th grade Girls
and Boys games of Hoxie Mustangs versus the Walnut Ridge Bobcats. The 5th grade boy's games had the Bobcats
ahead of the Mustangs at game's end with a score of 31 to 21. The 6th grade Lady Bobcats trailed the Lady Mustangs
at game's end with a score of 17 to 23 in favor of the Lady Mustangs. The 6th grade boys' games had the Bobcats and
Mustangs tied at the last few seconds of the game, but the Bobcats scored the finial point in the game making it
33 to 34 in favor of the Bobcats.

Community Center on Tuesday evening, February 27, 2007 against the Wilson Lady Bulldogs and the Pocahontas NEA.
The Lady Bulldogs defeated the Lady Bobcats in a close game with a score of 21 to 20 in favor of the Lady Bulldogs.
The Walnut Ridge Bobcats defeated the Pocahontas NEA team with a score of 49 to 28 in the Bobcat's favor.

Walnut Ridge made it in the finals of the Randolph County Baseball Association Tournament on Saturday morning,
March 3, 2007. The Walnut Ridge 6th grade Bobcats defeated the Jonesboro Lakers with a score of 37 to 45 in favor
of the Bobcats in the first game of the morning. The 5th grade Lady Bobcats played against Wilson's Lady Bulldogs
in the day's third game and defeated the Lady Bulldogs with a score of 14 to 20. The Lady Bobcats were
defeated playing Wilson Lady Bulldogs for the second time of the day with a score of 18 to 8 winning second place
in the tournament. The 6th grade Bobcats defeated the NEA Rebels with a score of
60 to 50 winning First Place in the tournament.

Black Rock's Zebras hosted the game against Armorel Tigers Tuesday evening, April 3, 2007 at Black Rock.
The game continued with a thunderstorm coming in from the West with several parents voicing their objections
that the game wasn't called and continued another day when the weather provided a better setting for a baseball
game. Near the end of the 6th inning, rain began to fall and I retreated to the comfort and dryness of my car.
Being in the car when the storm hit in full strength with the players still on the field, I remained dry and in some
what security from the lighting and heavy rains. At this time I am not aware if the game was called due to weather
or if the referees made a decision on which team won. The last score I saw was 10 to 6 in favor of Armorel Tigers.

Jonesboro's Westside Warriors traveled to Hoxie to face off against the Hoxie Mustangs Monday afternoon,
April 16, 2007. The Warriors defeated the Mustangs with a score of 10 to 0 in favor of the Warriors.

Lynn Hillcrest Screamin Eagles, Lynn Hillcrest Lady Screamin Eagles, Imboden Sloan Hendrix Greyhounds,
Imboden Sloan Hendrix Lady Greyhounds, Hoxie Mustangs and the Hoxie Lady Mustangs. With all the great
action happening in both of Black Rock's ballfields it was difficult to decide on which game to watch. Trying
to keep up with the majority of the games going on was causing a lot of great softball and baseball action being missed.
Wednesday Final Game - Apr 18, 2007
Lynn's Hillcrest Screamin Eagles faced off the Walnut Ridge Bobcats in the final game of the Lawrence
County Tournament at Black Rock Wednesday afternoon, April 18, 2007. The Screamin Eagles had the
lead until the bottom of the 6th inning when the Bobcats scored three home runs winning the tournament in
the 7th inning with a score of 13 to 12 in favor of the Bobcats.

District Tournament with the following teams included: Piggott Mohawks, Hoxie Mustangs,
Brookland Bearcats, Manila Lions and the Harrisburg Hornets

Bobcats with a score of 10 to 2. Hoxie came away winning against the Harrisburg Hornets with a score of 4 to 2 .
Monday's Games - Apr 23, 2007
Monday's games, April 23, 2007, at the District Tournament in Hoxie had the Manila Lions and the
Marmaduke Greyhounds pitted against each other. The finial score was 10 to 8 in favor of the Manila
Lions. The Hoxie Mustangs were pitted against East Poinsett County Warriors, finial score unknown
and too little light for photographs.

the Marmaduke Greyhounds as one of the games. The Greyhounds took charge of the game and ended up with the win.

faced off the Harrisburg Hornets successfully with a ending score of 5 to 2 in favor of the Lady Bobcats. The Hoxie
Lady Mustangs defeated the Batesville Southside Lady Southerners with a ending score of 14 to 8 in the Mustangs favor.
Saturday's Games - Mar 17, 2007
Saturday games, March 17, 2007, at the Nettleton Classic Softball Tournament in Jonesboro had the
Hoxie Lady Mustangs and the Walnut Ridge Lady Bobcats in various games. The Lady Bobcats first played
the Marked Tree Lady Indians and came away with a loss with a score of 2 to 3. Hoxie Lady Mustangs played
the Valley View Lady Blazers that ended in in a 0 to 8 score in favor of the Lady Blazers. Newport Lady
Greyhounds played the Brookland Lady Bearcats with the game score not recorded. White Station's Lady
Spartans faced off Cabot's Lady Panthers that ended with a score of 0 to 10 in favor of the Lady Panthers.
Walnut Ridge Lady Bobcats played the McCroy Lady Jaguars and came away the victor with a score of 8 to 7
in favor of the Lady Bobcats. Hoxie Lady Mustangs played Newport Lady Greyhounds with the final score

game that ended in a score of 14 to 3 in favor of the Lady Bobcats. The second game, played for three innings,
ended without the score known to me.

Walnut Ridge High School Disaster Drill - Mar 22, 2007
Walnut Ridge High School hosted a disaster drill concerning drunken driving with a two vehicle automobile accident
near the school's campus. Medic One Ambulance, Walnut Ridge Police Department, Walnut Ridge Volunteer Fire
Department, Arkansas State Police, Air Evac Lifeteam and the Lawrence County Coroner's Office participated in the
drill. Following the outside action of extraditing patents from the vehicles with the Jaws of Life, each accident victim
was evaluated and transported according to their injuries the students viewed a slide show against drinking and driving.
The Coroner's Office pronounced one student dead at the scene.
Hoxie High School Disaster Drill - Mar 22, 2007
Hoxie High School hosted a disaster drill concerning drunken driving with a single vehicle accident on the school campus.
Arkansas Excellent Transport, Hoxie Police Department, Hoxie Volunteer Fire Department, Lawrence County Coroner's
Office, Walnut Ridge Volunteer Fire Department participated in the drill. The students had lunch on the parking lot and
followed the drill with a faculty/student basketball game and finalized with a soc hop.
Track Events
Lawrence County School's Fun Day - May 8, 2007
Tuesday, May 8, 2007, had Sloan Hendrix, River Valley, Hillcrest, Black Rock, Walnut Ridge and Hoxie's
students on Hoxie's football field participating in the broad jump, ball throw, 100 yard dash, 220 yard dash, 440
relay and a 880 relay and other track and field events. The fourth, fifth and sixth grade students did their best in
order to win in their division of events. The event that commanded the most attention was the shaved ice stand
in the heat of the day with a long line lasting from the morning until the event was completed.
Black Rock High School Commencement 2007 - May 17, 2007
Black Rock High School held their Graduation Ceremony in the Elementary Gym Thursday evening, May 17, 2007.
The attendance of the event was close to 500 not including the Graduating Class of twenty five students.
Walnut Ridge High School Commencement 2007 - May 18, 2007
The Walnut Ridge High School held it's 2007 school year Commencement at the Sharum Gym Friday evening,
May 18, 2007. Fifty five students received their diplomas as well as various other awards and scholarships.
